The Benefits of Facials

Monthly facials can help keep your face looking fresh. They are excellent for improving vascular function and circulation. As a result, the essential nutrients make their way to the skin’s surface, and rather than having a dull and pale complexion, you’ll appear younger and vital.

If you have skin issues like acne, a facial with specialized:

  • serums
  • extractions
  • masks

can help minimize the look of blackheads and pimples. Facials, ideally help minimize the size of your pores, thus giving you a smooth face that’s free of blemishes.

Botox Benefits

It can get rid of wrinkles. Botox is a substance that blocks the nerves. This thus freezes the muscles, which in turn reduces wrinkles. It is ideally effective at getting rid of frown lines and crows’ feet.

However, botox isn’t permanent and calls for additional doses after every 3 to 4 months. After you utilize it for a while, the muscles will become used to their new position.

So, Is it Safe to Get a Facial After Botox?

You might be worried that your facials won’t work with botox treatments, but don’t fret as they do work if you take the right precautions.

So, how long should you take to get a facial after botox? Well, when working out a schedule for the treatments, it is important to ensure you leave a gap of at least a day before the injections. Facials before the treatment are no issue, and you can get one before the botox treatment if you wish to leave the clinic feeling entirely renewed.

However, the doctors discourage massaging your face the first several hours after treatment. Doing so will only cause the Botox to move, thus affecting the wrong regions in the face. For example, the Botox on the forehead could move downward, thus resulting in drooping eyelids. However, this is rare, as long as you take care of your face in the first 24 hours.

Facial treatments like laser hair removal should be postponed for about seven days after the Botox treatment. You’ll get the best results if you treat the face gently in the first few days after the procedure.

Facial After Botox

Caring for your face in the best manner calls for a multi-prolonged approach. One of the best ways to get great results is by combining facials with other natural treatments, but not botox. It improves the skin and can ideally boost your mood.

A natural facial helps you feel and look younger. Botox initially gives unparalleled results, getting rid of wrinkles. Over time, if you do too much Botox, the muscles will get weaker. The skin can appear thinner and looser.

Again, initially, you’ll notice an improvement in your frown lines, forehead furrows, and crows feet. After years of Botox, it won’t work as well. Nonetheless, getting a facial after botox (given that you wait for the right time) will lend you a soft and smooth face.

Below are other common Facial and botox questions often asked:

Do I have to avoid heat after Botox or Facial Steamer?

Yes, heat can increase the chance of you suffering bruising where you were injected. You should avoid hot showers, baths, facial steamers, and hot tubs for 24 hours after having Botox.

Can I touch my face after having Botox?

Yes, but gently my dear, gently. You can go about your regular skincare routine. But, it is still best to wait at least six hours—ideally 24 hours—before massaging or rubbing the skin.

Can I get microdermabrasion after having Botox?

I say it’s best to wait at least seven days before having any treatment like microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser treatments for at least seven days.

How about an Ice Facial?

You don’t want to ice either. Decreased temperatures decrease the long longevity of your botox treatment. So that means less bang for your bucks, it’s not going to work as well, or last as long.
