Holistic Skincare

Holistic skincare is something I am very patient about. That is actually how I approach beauty and skincare. Holistic to me is about seeking rejuvenation, renewal, that awakens the senses. A facial treatment that ranges from nourishing to correcting while encouraging the body to relax and restore the sense of wellbeing by using vibrant organic botanicals that feed your skin.

Origin Of Holistic Skincare

Hippocrates was the first father of medicine in ancient Greece. He decided that we really should be treating the entire body, not just one specific area. It should be the whole person and be individualistic. Meaning not everyone fits under the same umbrella because everyone is different.

So he created a new system of doing things through a holistic healing system. Taking care of yourself without flooding your body with toxic chemicals. This means your holistic skin care treatments are not one-size-fits-all. Or some rigid uniform procedure.

Holistic Skin Care Treatments

With Holistic skincare treatments there are no uniform procedures they focus on:

  • Diet
  • Mind
  • Hormonal Balancing
  • Psychotherapy
  • Eliminating Stressors
  • Exercise
  • Breathing Exercise

Skincare Analysis

During your skincare analysis, your holistic esthetician will ask about your:

  1. Blood sugar
  2. Alcohol intake
  3. Eating salty food
  4. Sleep schedule
  5. Smoking
  6. Sun exposure
  7. Mental and emotional wellness

All these things contribute to skin health and overall mind-body and health.

So we see with holistic skincare not only does it focus on the outside but what is also going on inside. Topical products are fantastic but in some ways, they are like a bandaid. What you need to focus on is what is happening inside your body. Like your gut health, are you allergic to certain things, thyroid problems, estrogen dominance?

Holistic Skin Care Specialist

I know it can be quite hard to find a good holistic skincare specialist. So I have crafted a list of ones I’m in contact with and are fellow colleges. Ones that I know give amazing service but truly know holistic skincare as a whole. Not ones who are are just jumping on some new “fad” they have heard about. No, I only choose those who are patient about their craft and want to help those from the inside out.

So I hope to be able to grow this list but I don’t want to grow it for the sake of just making a long expansive list. I want to give you the best. I feel if I wouldn’t go then I wouldn’t want to share it with you.
