It seems like we are always in search of a new nail polish. Well, at least I am. Most nail polishes of late just haven’t made the cut for me. Either it’s too watery or the color payoff is nearly non-existent. So, I was thrilled when Bess+Color; a 10 Free Nail Polish brand, invited me to their Fall Mani Trend Event!
10 Free Nail Polish-What in World That Means and Bess+Color!
But first, let me tell you a little bit about Bess+Color. The owner Jessica Bellinger is such a doll. Her vibe is infectious and she is VERY knowledgable about her brand. The nail polish she sells is a 10-free, non-toxic, vegan, as well as cruelty-free made in the good ol’ USA brand. Now you might be wondering what is 10-free? Well, if you are, you are not alone. I recently gabbed with Jessica about this subject; and this was her answer:
“10-free essentially means ‘free of the 10 most toxic chemicals commonly found in nail polish”. It means our formula is non-toxic. Some polishes can range from 3-free, 5-free, 7-free and up to 10-free!”

So, in a nutshell, anything that can cause birth defects, hormone changes, cancer, unconsciousness, liver damage, kidney damage, and nervous system damage are nowhere to be found in this formula. So Jessica made sure it would be safe for everyone to use without losing pigments or lasting power. I Stan.
Now, as you all know I am such a movie buff. So I was drawn to the fact that Bess+Color manicure colors are inspired by the people, places, phrases, and objects from West Anderson Films. Amazing I know, very creative. Some of the movies they are inspired by are Moonrise Kingdom, The Darjeeling Limited, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
The colors I chose from her collection to try out are:
- The Yellow Tent. Inspired by The Royal Tenebaums
- Grand Budapest. Inspired by Grand Budapest
The Yellow Tent is such a beautiful radiant yellow! I have tried many times to find this type of yellow. And let me tell ya… They have all disappointed me. But this one is fantastic. With this color, it’s impossible not to stay happy. It’s such a “ray of sunshine” type of color.
Grand Budapest is like my signature color though. It’s a beautiful pinky, mauve color that looks great year-round. Kind of gives the feel and vibe of a nude; but with a Steel Magnolias “blush and bashful” POV. I see this color being my go-to for quite a while!
In conclusion, if you are ready to give up all the other mediocre nail polishes that you are just hanging on to. Go try Bess+Color nail polish you won’t be disappointed!
THE PRICE? IT’S QUITE AFFORDABLE IT RANGES FROM $14-16 US
