Audrey Hepburn is an icon even to this day. There are a tone of fashion tutorials, makeup tutorials, beauty tutorials all over youtube trying to emulate Audrey Hepburn’s beauty. Trying to recreate her iconic looks. But, today I want to share with you Audrey Hepburn’s beauty tips poem.

First, it seems like everyone was madly in love with Audrey. From her co-stars, directors, and producers she was adored by all. However, like most women, she still suffered from insecurities of her beauty. Moreover, she never felt beautiful. She wasn’t busty, but she tried to accept the way she was.

Uniquely, she was not like Marylin Monroe who was busty and curvy. Audrey as she explains in an interview explained herself as having a head too big, feet too big, and a body that was too thin. She always seemed to find fault with herself. Like most women do. Yet she still came through and made it as a star and is beloved by all.

Audrey Hepburn was the full package of GLAMOUR. Her look was natural. Even though she put effort into her look she never looked overdone. In like manner, she took this all through her years of life. Audrey was very feminine.

However, after much research, I found out that Audrey did not compose this poem. “Time Tested Beauty Tips” was one of Hepburn’s favorite poems. She claimed it as one of her favorites and quoted it in public several times.

Moreover, the true author is Sam Levenson. It’s crazy how things like this get confusing about he said she said dialogue. Correspondingly, it is clear though that Hepburn never claimed it was her own. All she did was repeat her favorite poem in public, always crediting its author. She loved this poem so much that she read it to her children on the last Christmas Eve before she died.

Therefore, we see even though she didn’t write this poem it was very dear to her heart. She felt a connection to this poem as if it was her own words.
